I am so happy with the way my Martin Luther King Jr. Unit turned out!  We've been doing these activities and having a blast!  I am so glad I redid these printables. I've also just finished new mini-units for Susan B. Anthony and Helen Keller for 2nd grade VA SOL 2.11 and for 3rd and 4th grade history review. All of them have a printable book that can be cut out and stapled for study.  These are not coloring books like you see in K-1st.  I have designed these to be mini-biographies that can be used in place of reading lengthy non-fiction books.   Just click above!

MAGNETIC LETTER STATION

New idea for your word study station.  Go to Walmaart or your local automotive store and pick up an oil pan sheet.  It looks like a giant cookie sheet.  Use velcro to put it on the wall in your classroom.  Fill a container with magnetic letters from the dollar store and VOILA!  You have a  magnetic letter station that they'll all be begging to use!
